My baby Moby
Meet my baby Moby. She’s a Mauve type of African Love Bird - 1 of 5 siblings of Cobalt Blue and Pastel Blue parents. I took her from her parent’s nest box when she was 1 month old - quite matured to hand fed. I picked her coz i noticed her sweetness, and more so, she overcomed the common fear of birds from human.

She’s the sweetest! She flies around the house, she comes to me when i arrive and when i call her, and sleeps on my tummy, arm pit, and hands. She loves to eat chopped vegetables and seeds, and I mix cherifier vitamins and calcium powder on her food to keep her in shape. She’s making friends with the fish on the aquarium, and even attempted to dive a few times (good thing i saw her before she did).
She loves to disturb me when Im doing something - like stepping on the laptop keyboard as i work (as i type now, she’s on the keyboard and once in a while bitting my fingers), she attempts to eat my food, drink on my mug, and disturb me on what ever Im doing - in other words, she’s usisero at pakialamera. hehe.
But I love her. I’ve hand-fed almost 10 birds already, but she’s one of a kind. She probably thinks that she’s a human who can fly. At night, she sleeps on my lap while watching TV, and when i move her to her box, she’s like kicking and shouting “GET ME OUT OF THIS BOX?!”, then she’s awake again.. and I’ll pick her again, and she’ll sleep on my lap again. ha. It’s a cycle. I figured, she doesn’t wanna be left alone. It’s quite distracting at times, but I cant resist her sweetness!
We have more than 20 pairs of African Love Bird breeders, and a couple little ones for sale. You might be interested, we’re selling love birds :)
cheers to love and birds! ![]()
